The National Cutting Horse Association presented Bill Brewer with a life membership Tuesday in appreciation of his work as NCHA’s Interim Executive Director over the last two months.
“On behalf of the Executive Committee and our staff, I’d like to thank Bill for the tremendous job he has done for our organization,” said NCHA President Keith Deaville. “He led our executive search committee and kept us moving forward with a positive outlook as we have prepared to hand the reins to our new Executive Director, Alan Steen.”
Brewer, former Executive Secretary of the American Quarter Horse Association, has served as NCHA’s Interim Executive Director following the departure in March of long-time Executive Director Jeff Hooper.
The new Executive Director, Alan Steen, has been Administrator of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for the past nine years. He will commence his duties at the National Cutting Horse Association on June 1.
