NCHA Western Nationals kick off April 27

NCHA Western NationalsThe 21st annual 6666 Ranch NCHA Western National Championships will kick off in Denver’s National Western Events Center on April 27 and run through May 6. With $150,000 in added money, the prestigious show has attracted more than 700 entries from across the United States and Canada who will vie for National titles for the 2015 point year in 12 divisions of NCHA competition.

The Western Nationals spotlights the National Cutting Horse Association’s grassroots cutters whose support of weekend shows drives NCHA’s growth, and the talent assembled at this year’s Western Nationals gets a five-star rating.

The Open and Novice classes will see NCHA Hall of Fame riders going head-to-head including Tracy Barton, Pete Branch, Randy Chartier, Scott Martin, Russ Miller, Mike Wood, and Guy Woods, along with recent NCHA Super Stakes Champion Kenny Platt. They will also be meeting former Western Nationals Champions Scott Amos, Lawson Hadlock, Roper Curtiss, and Will Nuttall.

The NCHA Western National Championships are presented by the legendary 6666 Ranch of Guthrie, Texas. The ranch stands some of the most well-respected Quarter Horse stallions in the industry, with elite broodmares that produce superior individuals for cutting, ranch work and racing.
