Cutting Academy at Lewisburg, West Virginia

The NCHA Grass Roots clinic held at JMJ Farm, Lewisburg, West Virginia was a great success with five riders from the clinic taking a check at the show on Saturday.

Russell McCord and Chris Benedict instructed participants on herd work, credit-earning points and showmanship. Jim Johnson, owner of JMJ Farm, hosted the clinic, which featured great facilities, great food and great company. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the clinic.

The concession for the show on Saturday was provided by the Greenbrier County Special Olympics. It was the third of four Grass Roots Clinics scheduled for 2012. Each clinic features a session on understanding rules showmanship, followed by live work critiques with McCord and training tips from one of the industry’s leading trainers.

Cutting Academy at Gonzales, Louisiana

The NCHA Grass Roots clinic held in Gonzales, Louisiana was a huge success. Russell McCord and Randy Chartier instructed participants on herd work, credit-earning points and showmanship. The Louisiana CHA hosted the clinic and the Circle J CHA provided a great lunch.

Cutting Academy at Nevis, New Mexico

NCHA President Keith Deaville and Director of Judges Russell McCord hosted an NCHA Cutting Academy Grass Roots Clinic at Straight Rail Ranch, Nevis, Minnesota April 20. It was the first of four Grass Roots Clinics scheduled for 2012. Each clinic features a session on understanding rules showmanship, followed by live work critiques with McCord and training tips from one of the industry’s leading trainers.

2012 NCHA Grass Roots Clinics

Attention Amateur Members – NCHA Cutting Academy Grass Roots Member Seminars are scheduled for 2012!

Session I of the Cutting Academy includes understanding rules and improving equine nutrition and more. The cost, which includes a light breakfast and lunch, is just $35.

Session II features live work critiques with Director of Judges Russell McCord and one of the industry’s leading trainers. The cost is $175 and includes both sessions (live works is limited to 25 riders).
